What we collect
Name, date of birth, contact details, appointment preferences, and health information you give us so we can decide if wax removal is safe (for example previous perforation, grommets, infection, hearing in one ear). After treatment we keep a short clinical note.
Why
To provide care and run the clinic (UK GDPR Article 6: contract and legitimate interests; Article 9: health data with your consent and for healthcare). We also need records for insurance and, if applicable, CQC.
This website specifically
The booking form on a static copy of this site stores requests in your browser (localStorage) so you can see them under My bookings, and so the clinic inbox page can be demonstrated. That is not a replacement for a proper medical record system. Before going live, connect the form to your email (Formspree or similar) or a clinical diary, and stop relying on the patient’s phone as the only copy.
We do not run advertising cookies. If you later add analytics, name it here.
Who we share with
We do not sell data. We may write to your GP or refer to ENT if we find something that needs the NHS. We would share with a regulator, insurer or police only if required.
How long
Clinical notes are usually kept for eight years after last contact (adults), longer if a claim is possible. Booking emails can be deleted once the diary is updated. You can ask us to erase browser-saved details on a device you control by clearing site data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy, a correction, or (in some cases) deletion or restriction. You can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). If you later register with the ICO as a fee payer, add your registration number here.
